ISAF Youth Worlds 12 - 21 July 2012
This July, Dublin Bay will host the Four Star Pizza ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship - the world’s premier event for youth sailing.

The ISAF Youth Worlds was first held in Sweden in 1971 and has taken place every year since.
The 2012 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Dublin Bay, Ireland will celebrate the 42nd year of the event. Throughout its history, the ISAF Youth Worlds has visited over 20 nations, covering every continent, and over 100 different nations have competed. France is currently the most successful nation, winning the Volvo Trophy on a record 10 occasions and holding a record 62 medals: 20 Gold, 27 Silver and 15 Bronze.  More.. 
 
Junior Regatta Results
We had a great turnout of about twenty boats. Picos, toppers, topaz and lasers were the order of the day.  Despite heavy winds two races were completed with four boats making it over the finish line before a big squall ended the event. Congrats to winner Caoimhe Martin.

Club Activities

 

MSC is situated about sixteen miles from Sligo town in the seaside village of Mullaghmore. Sailing takes place in Donegal Bay. We are a small club that specialises in cruiser racing and the Topaz, Laser, Topper & Optimist classes.

Start Sailing

MSC is  recognised by the Irish Sailing Association as a sail training centre. In conjunction with County Sligo VEC, we offer sailing courses to juniors and adults. See "Junior Sailing" for details on sailing courses for under 18s.  Adult courses are also available. More....
Cruiser Racing 
           
Participation in handicap and fleet racing in cruisers has increased significantly in  recent years. Cruiser racing is on Saturday evenings @ 17.00hours and beginners are very welcome. Our cruiser regatta takes place in July each year.

Mullaghmore Triathlon

With on average 500 competitors, the Mullaghmore Triathlon (National Sprint Distance Championship) is well established on the national circuit.  It takes place on the third Saturday in June each year. More..

Sailing for people with physical and sensory disabilities (PWD)

The club has a positive attitude and genuine passion towards disability.  The club runs mainstream summer and evening sailing courses for people who wish to experience the thrill of  sailing.  More...

Blue Flag Beach   

The clubhouse is situated right beside a rural sandy beach backed by an extensive dune system with magnificent views of the Keeloges with Eagles Rock and Ben Bulben in the distance.  Our young sailors simply have to push their dinghies down the club slipway and they are off. The clubhouse has a social area & small kitchen with shower and toilet facilities.
